As news broke out of South Korea of the sad death of singer Jonghyun, leader of the K-pop boyband SHINee, fans and fellow musicians paid tribute as the 26 year old's funeral began today (December 19th) in Seoul.

His four bandmates were joined at the event by fellow stars BTS, Yoona, NCT and EXO at the Asan Medical Centre. The event will take place for three days followed by a private memorial service on Thursday, according to SM Entertainment.

A portrait of the singer, surrounded by flowers, is on display as fans gather around the venue to join in the mourning.

Jonghyun, also known as Kim Jong-Hyun, was found unconscious at his home in Seoul on Monday evening (December 18th). The JoongAng Daily newspaper has reported that the cause of death appears to be suicide.
