Election Day (Nov 3) is officially over and now it's time to anxiously wait to see who gets elected as US President: Donald Trump or Joe Biden. It's too close to call right now, so we'll have to wait a few days before the final verdict is revealed.

In case you're wondering, yes, Kanye West is still a presidential candidate and, no, he's definitely not in the running. However, people are actually voting for him.

On Tuesday, the 'Wash Us in the Blood' rapper gave an account of his first ever voting experience on Twitter and revealed he was voting for himself. Kanye shared an image of himself filling in his ballot at a polling place in Park County, Wyoming, where he has a huge ranch. "Today I am voting for the first time in my life for the President of the United States, and it's for someone I truly trust...me," he tweeted.

Kanye actually failed to meet the deadlines needed to get on ballots in all 50 states, including in his own state of Wyoming. However, much to everyone's surprise, Ye is is actually getting more votes than anticipated. Kanye appeared on the ballot in 12 states, where he received over 57,000 votes. Seriously.

His best performance in the election was in Tennessee, where he won 10, 216 votes, according to The Associated Press. Kanye also received 1,264 votes in Vermont, 4,344 in Utah, 4,040 in Arkansas, 3,631 in Idaho, 3197 in Iowa, 6259 in Kentucky, 4894 in Louisiana, 7,783 in Minnesota, 3,131 in Mississippi and 5,590 in Oklahoma.

It's pretty obvious Kanye's chances of becoming president have now been dashed – but he's not giving up hope just yet. Admitting defeat and standing in front of an electoral map, he tweeted: "WELP KANYE 2024."
