Haters stand down. Lorde has clarified her comments about Kim Kardashian's naked appearance on the cover of Paper magazine this week.

It turns out she was actually complimenting Kim when she re-tweeted the cover with the additional message: "mom".

In a message on her Tumblr, Lorde said that "mom" was actually short for "adopt me/be my second mom/i think of you as a mother figure you are so epic”.
