"Stop trying to associate my mother having A BRAIN TUMOR with the fucking devil."

Megan Thee Stallion's sharp rise to mainstream fame has been truly astronomical. This year, she collaborated with Nicki Minaj on 'Hot Girl Summer' for which she won her first MTV Video Music Award (without having even released the video!) and she also signed with JAY-Z's label Roc Nation. However, her success sadly came just as she lost her mother and manager Holly Thomas in March.

Megan – born Megan Pete – opened up about her mother's passing from a cancerous brain tumour on Twitter and insisted she knows she's proud of her.

"After my mom passed I promised myself I was going to keep going hard bc not only is music my dream but it was her dream for me too," she tweeted.

"I have days where I want to go hide and cry bc she’s not here but i kno that ain’t what she would want me to do! I kno she’s proud of me [sic]!"

However, some weirdly believe that Megan's mother's death was a part of a wild conspiracy. JAY-Z and his wife Beyoncé have long been accused of being connected to the Illuminati, a secret society that apparently controls the world. Many have also attributed their success to their alleged deals with the devil and have said that there are satanic lyrics in their music.

So when Megan proudly tweeted a photo of herself with JAY-Z following the signing, former NFL player Larry Johnson decided to share his wild take on it all.

He tweeted: "A coincidence: Her mother, who was her manager died in the month of March 2019, the same month of her “break out. Music industry filled with the easily corrupt fatherless children looking for Satan to be the 'daddy' they never had."

Megan quickly fired back at Larry and demanded that he should not link her mother's death to the devil. "Just because YOU found out about me around the time my mother passed does not make what you’re saying accurate," she explained.

"I’ve been grinding for so long and would appreciate if you weirdos on the internet would stop trying to associate my mother having A BRAIN TUMOR with the fucking devil."
