The internet seems to be pretty convinced that the Las Vegas band are the only option for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's reception entertainment.

Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement, with a wedding date set for early next year, people have been wondering just exactly how the ceremony will go down.

Who will be the maid of honor? Where will the party prince head off for his stag do? And who will be providing the tunes for the big day?

Well, we may have an answer to the latter as the internet appears to be convinced that there is only one musical choice fit for the royal couple - Las Vegas based synth legends The Killers.

Harry has been best buddies with the band for a decade now, drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr explaining the friendship to NME earlier this year:

"He just showed up at a show one time and we got along. I mean, it’s been ten years I guess. There’s been a lot of long nights. There have been cousins and things like that from the [royal] family and they’re all just regular dudes and nice people. It’s safe to say we didn’t grow up with the sort of bedazzlement of having a Royal Family or anything, so I wasn’t educated in what it means to know these people first. Maybe that’s what made things cool. It was just like, ‘Hey, man’.”

The group are also no stranger to royal events having played the Royal Variety Show back in 2015.

At Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding, Ellie Goulding sang a version of Elton John's 'Your Song' for the couple's first dance. Surely for Harry and Meghan, Brandon and the boys can stop by and bust out a classic? Maybe their cover of Dire Straits 'Romeo & Juliet'? 'Glamorous Indie Rock 'N' Roll'? That slower piano-based version of 'Human'? Or, maybe, the greatest song of all time...

You know the one.

Anyway, the internet seems pretty convinced that The Killers are the only plausible choice for this royal honor:

Come on lads - do it for the good of the nation!

The Killers are currently in the midst of their world tour for the album Wonderful Wonderful.
