This could actually work...

Everyone's favourite Yorkshire-based noise merchants Bring Me The Horizon have announced a benefit show for The Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Here they are announcing it in an excited fashion:

But did you notice the key detail at the bottom of the poster....

Bring Me The Horizon

Yep - "with full orchestra"! Didn't see that one coming!

Normally hiring an orchestra for your gig is a move you save for your Vegas residency or your syrupy Christmas album. And it doesn't always work well for heavier acts. When Metallica realised their orchestral album S and M sounded more like Celine Dion than Iron Maiden, they went running back to the electric guitars faster than you can like an instagram picture of Oli Sykes' dogs.

Although we shouldn't be surprised that BMTH have gone down this route as YouTube is littered with orchestral versions of some of their biggest tunes that prove how well suited they are to an added string section.

Remember this beautiful version of "Drown" they did live at Maida Vale:

And check out this really cool remix of "Can You Feel My Heart" with added strings:

See - this gig could really work. Just don't get your pits confused ok guys? Let's review this one more time...

This is a Moshpit...

...and this is an Orchestra Pit.

Keep them separate and we'll all have a good time.

Tickets are on sale 9am December 4th.

See you down the front!
