We've got the full lowdown on Nintendo's shiny new toy that's got everybody so excited.

Gamers everywhere have spent the last few months on their edge of their seats, waiting for the arrival of the brand new Nintendo console, the Nintendo Switch, which is FINALLY available in shops at the beginning of next month.

Even Jimmy Fallon is uncharacteristically excited about the whole thing...

Somebody give that man a sedative before he gets dizzy.

But what exactly is the fuss all about? Why are so many people ready to sell their Grandma just for a sniff of one of these high-powered pleasure boxes?

Don't worry, we've all the info you need right here to keep you up to date with the latest and greatest video game product to hit the market.

1) What does it actually do?

As you can see from the shiny Super Bowl commercial above, the Switch's main selling point is that you can take it anywhere, connecting it to your TV at home for a full-screen experience before heading out on the town with the portable screen, picking up exactly where you left off. It's cool, versatile and, above all, basically eliminates the need for phone games or other portable devices.

2) How much will it cost?

£279.99 in the UK. Not cheap but not outrageous either.

3) When can you get it?

The Switch is released worldwide on March 3rd and is available for pre-order now from all the usual online places.

4) What games has it got?

At the launch, you can grab The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild which if you aren't at least a little bit excited for then we pity your misspent childhood. Then there's a new Skylanders game, 1-2 Switch and the latest edition of Just Dance which should be perfect for when you fancy cracking out some sick moves during your morning commute.

5) What other games are coming up?

Loads basically but we our personally hyped for Lego City Undercover, Sonic Mania and, of course, the much anticipate new adventure from everyone's favourite Italian plumber, Super Mario Odyssey, due to arrive in time for Christmas.
