But what should you call yours?!
Every now and then, new parents get a little too excited over the current pop culture climate and they start naming their children after Westeros Dynasties or exotic fruits.
This trend has sadly not diminished in 2016. Thanks to "Pokemon Go" sliding back into 2016’s DMs, parents are starting to name their children after the cartoon creatures. No, we’re not joking. This is actually happening. Thankfully, we’re yet to hear of any reports of a newborn baby Jigglypuff. CAN YOU IMAGINE!?
According to Baby Centre, there’s been a rise in names such as Eevee, Ash, Roselia and Onix. Imagine that conversation!
Person: “Wow, what an unusual name! Where did you get that? Where you named after the stone?”
Child: “No, I'm actually named after a ferocious fictional snake made of big rocks.” Incredible.
To be fair, the names on the rise - also including Star, Ivy and Shay - are relatively normal. The minute I hear about a Lickitung, I’m logging off.
But what would *YOU* name your Pokemon baby? We’ve created a special quiz so you can find out below. It’s all based on fate. Which Pokeball will you choose?!
