"Near" meaning within a radius of approx. 6000km.

It's sometimes quite overwhelming that at any given moment, as long as you have access to the internet, there is absolutely no reason to be bored... ever. For one, you can listen to any radio station in the world whenever you wish.

Sites like TuneIn allow you to hop from any station around the globe, from Italy to Peru, from Nepal to Japan, or even Antarctica (yes, really). It's surely the optimum thing to do once you're done exploring the Mongolian tundra or getting lost in the Amazon tributaries via Google Maps streetview.

Anyway, all this just to say, now you have a solid reason to go exploring the world via radio broadcast, because Panda Bear's Noah Lennox (also of Animal Collective) has just started a global radio rollout of his new album Panda Bear Meets The Grim Reaper, which started earlier today on the Mary Anne Hobbs show in the UK.

Check out the map below and see all of the radio stations taking part.
