From Britney to Taylor this guy can cover it all!
It's no secret that we're pretty obsessed with YouTube covers, and we've recently been totally engrossed with Sam Tsui.
Tsui has been in the YouTube game for a while, and he can really SING. Not to mention he can cover just about anything from Britney to Taylor, and Ed Sheeran to Sam Smith.
In fact, back in 2011 Tsui was featured on THE ACTUAL BRITNEY SPEARS' WEBSITE with his AMAZE cover of "Hold It Against Me", which has since gone on to amass over 16 million views!
Because the other night we were up until dawn watching his videos, we thought we'd share just 5 of Tsui's covers for you to also obsess over, too. Just don't stay up too late.
"Hold It Against Me"
The one that started it off, this cover of Brit-Brit adds another dimension to the song, turning what's essentially a sex jam into a moving ballad. He even manages to segue "Gimme More" into the cover. Amazing!
"Thinking Out Loud/I'm Not The Only One"
This duet with Casey Breves mashes up two of our favourite songs of last year, Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud" and Sam Smith's "I'm Not The Only One" and it's TOTALLY stunning. The boys' voices blend effortless. We've been playing this one on repeat.
"Take Me To Church"
While this song might have been hammered to death, we're still kinda into it. What we like about this cover is the organ production, adding another element to what's already an amazing track. We're not quite sure with Tsui's in a carpark, but each to their own.
While it might seem that every man and his dog is covering "Bad Blood", Tsui's a cappella version is impressive. Also, we're loving the way this video was shot with all the different versions of himself playing their parts like one giant Sam Tsui band.
"Love Me Like You Do"
Another duet, this time with Alex Goot and a cover of Ellie Goulding's smash "Love Me Like You Do" form the 50 Shades soundtrack. Again, Tsui' and Goot's vocal harmonies are. On. Point. This one gives us serious feels.
