CYMATICS: Science Vs. Music - Nigel Stanford
Liam Dryden

By Liam Dryden

Fire and lighting and banging tunes. This video has everything.

Musician Nigel Stanford has combined music and science to create an incredible music video for his track 'CYMATICS'.

By making special modifications to his band's equipment, Nigel is able to make the soundwaves they emit visible - in the coolest way possible.

Welcome to a world where music can make a kaleidoscope out of salt...

Where drums can bend water.

And flames look like soundwaves.

And that's all just the tip of this musical iceberg. Check out the full video below to have your mind blown.

And in case you want more gorgeous science/music clashes like this, make sure to check out Jack White's video for 'High Ball Stepper' - he does something very similar with speakers and paint.
