Kris Jenner is a criminal mastermind and we can't even be angry with her for it.

The Kardashian-Jenner matriarch managed to trick us all into believing something big was happening with her daughter Kendall Jenner and we didn't even see it coming. The supermodel was meant to announce a huge personal secret on Twitter and everyone awaited a possible life-changing revelation. But what was this bombshell, you ask? Well, she's landed a campaign for acne cream. Yep, that's it.

Kris sent the internet into meltdown over the weekend when she revealed on Twitter that a "raw and personal" announcement was imminent. People immediately began speculating what it could be. Would Kendall be coming out as gay? Is she pregnant? Seriously unwell?

The tweet was accompanied with a video that really built up the suspense too. "When I was 14, I couldn't reach as many people that I can now that I'm 22," Kendall explained. "Now I have this whole thing behind me, I can speak to so many people and be like: 'I can help you and it's okay. I experience it, I'm very normal, I understand you, I can connect with you. I'm going to try and help.'"

Finally, the big reveal. Everything we'd been waiting for. Drum roll please… Kendall is now the new face of Proactiv skincare.

The brand dropped a video on Twitter in which she detailed her struggle with acne and thanks to the magic of Proactiv skin care – and the millions of dollars she's probably getting paid for the deal – she has been cured. Hooray!

Kendall opened up about her appearance at last year's Golden Globes where she was trolled over her spots. "I remember going online after and reading all the horrible things people were saying about me and my skin," she revealed. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star went on to say that although she received positive comments too, she decided it was time to change and that's where Proactiv came in and saved the day.

Now we know acne can be debilitating and it's good to see some skin positivity but people felt cheated, hoodwinked, bamboozled and blindsided by the very lacklustre secret. Where is the drama? The shock value? Anything? C'mon now Kris, you can do better.

This is just further proof that the devil works hard but Kris Jenner works even harder.
