Kylie Jenner has long been accused of "blackfishing" – when a caucasian person manipulates their looks to appear "exotic" or Black – but her latest Instagram photo is sparking some major backlash. The Kylie Cosmetics entrepreneur has been sporting a deep tan, which has made her skin the same colour as her BFF Jordyn Woods and daughter Stormi, who are both Black and mixed race.
Kylie jetted on a luxury vacay to the Turks and Caicos to celebrate her daughter turning one on February 1. Of course, a simple birthday cake and balloon would be way too basic when your mother is on track to be a billionaire.
After being beat for most liked Instagram photo by an egg, Kylie flooded her page with adorable photos she had taken with Stormi and Jordyn – but one photo in particular triggered people.
Kylie, Jordyn and Stormi all wore the cutest matching neon green swimwear for a mirror selfie. Although undeniably adorable, people were concerned that Kylie, Jordan and Stormi all had the same complexion.
Some thought she probably Photoshopped her skin to appear darker and more "exotic".
