Really, Frank? Why?!

The 2019 Met Gala kicked off last night (April 6) and no-one was safe from the Twitter fashion critics. YouTuber James Charles was dragged for his look (and for even turning up...), Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner were roasted for their feather ensembles and likened to the Ugly Stepsisters in Cinderella… ouch. And then there was Frank Ocean's, um, outfit.

Now, this year's theme was "Camp: Notes on Fashion" but Frank didn't quite get the memo. Maybe the invite got lost in the post, who knows?

Well, in case you're wondering, Camp is all about exaggeration and colour, so when the "Pyramids" singer turned up in an all-black Prada suit everyone was a little underwhelmed.

Sure, at any other event this outfit would be acceptable but this is the one night of the year where literally anything goes and you chose this!?

Not only that, instead of the traditional suit jacket, Frank opted for a Prada anorak-style hoodie which made him look a little like a security guard.

And naturally, the internet had jokes.

Of course, Camp doesn't just mean sticking on a huge pink ball gown. It's about standing out from the crowd and wearing something "extraordinary", and in a sea of technicolour frills and ruffles, Frank definitely grabbed our attention. We think he knew EXACTLY what he was doing.
