AirPods have become the ultimate status symbol and once you pick up a pair you just have to show them off. We even saw AirPod memes take over the internet from people who couldn't resist flexing post-Christmas. But at £159, they were already pricey. Like, they're just headphones…

Well, it turns out, they can get even more expensive. Louis Vuitton has now recreated the must-have accessory and of course, they're not cheap. Imagine actually misplacing a pair of these – you'd break down.

The French fashion collaborated with New York-based audio specialists, Master & Dynamic, for this insanely expensive piece of kit. The Louis Vuitton Horizon earphones combines all the audio quality of Apple's AirPods with Louis Vuitton's statement logo.

Available in four different colours – black, red, white and orange and blue stripes – you can snap these up online for just $995. It even comes with a charging case – a real bargain…

Jeffree Star, Lil Uzi Vert and Lil Yachty are just some of the celebs who have already picked up a pair, because nothing quite screams wealth like a Louis Vuitton AirPod.

Needless to say, the memes came rolling in thick and fast.
