The secret to achieving it is actually so wild.

Beauty lovers know the importance of a good highlight. Glowy, shimmery skin will certainly turn a few heads, but one woman's secret to the perfect "flare" will have you RUNNING to the nearest jewellery store to try her secret highlight trick.

Instagram user @thestudyofmakeup regularly uploads photos of herself sporting some out of this world highlight.

The highlight is often so bright that it catches in the light, creating a "flare" effect."

@thestudyofmakeup told Allure
that, instead of using a fan brush for her highlight, she uses a "dense wet eyeshadow brush" to achieve her iconic glow. She says that this helps to reflect the light better because the product becomes more concentrated in one spot.

Her go-to product of choice? Blushing Hearts Highlighter in Goddess of Love. It's by Makeup Revolution and costs just $7.

Plenty of people have commented on her photos saying that they need to get their hands on her highlighter. But, it turns out that there is more than meets the eye when it comes to achieving this blindingly beautiful look.

If you want to know her iconic secret to getting that gorgeous flare in her skin, look no further than Swarovski crystals.

The talented makeup artist says that she took a crystal off of a Swarovski crown she received as a gift, and placed it at the centre of her highlight. The reflection from the crystal was so brilliant that it looked like a solar flare effect.

@thestudyofmakeup posted an Instagram photo of the differences between all her glowy highlight looks and it's clear the crystal makes a BIG difference.

There you go, guys. Next time you want to completely stun people with your highlight, it could help to have a Swarovski crystal nearby.
