This makes sense...
Kendall Jenner recently came under fire for some comments that she made in an interview with LOVE magazine.

The model was speaking about her work schedule in the latest issue of the publication and said: “Since the beginning we’ve been super selective about what shows I would do. I was never one of those girls who would do like 30 shows a season or whatever the fuck those girls do."
She then added: "More power to ‘em. But I had a million jobs, not only catwalks but everything else. The whole combination was very overwhelming and I started to freak out a little bit and needed to take a step back".
Unsurprisingly, many people interpreted the "whatever the fuck those girls do" comment as shade and pointed out that most models don't have the luxury of being able to do less shows. They need the opportunities.
Here are just a few of the initial reactions.
does kendall jenner realize that the majority of models don't come from rich families and actually have to do more than 30 shows per season to survive? most models work 10 times harder than she does and get paid far less. her ugly rich privilege is truly showing— caroline (@kingofpopstyles) August 20, 2018
It bothers me so much that there are models who work so hard to master every editorial and runway and suffer for years at first to even get noticed while Kendall Jenner is currently the highest paid and treats the industry like a joke because she barely has to lift a finger.— Steph (@SteffieSteph) August 21, 2018
Kendall Jenner calls herself a supermodel when literally the only reason she has a career is because her mom made a phone call & bought it for her....yet she has the audacity to shame models that actually worked hard to be successful I HAVE TO LAUGH— • (@hauteisabel) August 20, 2018

other models: attend multiple castings a day, started modeling at 14 to maybe get noticed at 20, share an apartment with 6 other aspiring models, use all their money to travel for castings, work hard as fuck to get an agency— manu (@lilkissytim) August 20, 2018

Kendall Jenner: I had to work HARD to get to where I am!!! I still had to jump through the same hoops as other struggling models!!!— Queen Mel 🇭🇹 (@BLVCKMATTERS) August 20, 2018
Kendall has a huge amount of privilege so it's understandable that many people were unimpressed by her comments. Most models don't have access to the fame and fortune that Kendall has grown up with. Nevertheless, it appears that Kendall in no way meant to disrespect anyone in her interview.
Taking to Twitter, Kendall has now clarified her comments and revealed that her words were "taken out of context". She also said: "The respect that I have for my peers is immeasurable!"

I was misrepresented in a recent interview over the wknd & it’s important to clarify the meaning. It was intended to be entirely complimentary but unfortunately, my words were twisted & taken out of context.I want to be clear. The respect that I have for my peers is immeasurable!— Kendall (@KendallJenner) August 21, 2018
I get to experience first hand their tireless commitment, their work ethic, the endless days, the lack of sleep, separation from family and friends, stress of traveling, the toll on physical and mental health, yet they still make it all look effortless and beautiful.— Kendall (@KendallJenner) August 21, 2018
I’m inspired by so many of these people i have had the good fortune to work alongside! There’s no way i could EVER hate on that ❤️ i want everyone to win. SLAY ALWAYS.— Kendall (@KendallJenner) August 21, 2018
Cultivate kindness today and always.— Kendall (@KendallJenner) August 21, 2018
Now this is the kind of positive message that we can get behind.
