The Most Popular Hair Colour Of 2016 Has Been Revealed

The most popular hair colour of 2016 has been revealed and it's probably the one you've been DYE-ING to try all year. 2016 was a MASSIVE year for switching up your hair colour. We saw ombre make a comeback, hidden rainbow hair, undercuts... you name it, someone managed to slay it. 

We fell in love with the easy and affordable colour combinations that Hayley Williams' brand new hair dye range presented to us.

And we looooooved the mind-blowing split dye trend too.

But the NUMBER ONE hair-dye trend of 2016 was, unsurprisingly, grey/silver hair!

After rocketing to popularity in the latter half of 2015, metallic grey or silver hair has remained the most popular hair colour of 2016, seeing sales and searches of the shade on Instagram increasing over the past twelve months. 

According to Byrdie and the head of beauty at UK drug store Superdrug, sales of grey hair dye have also seen the biggest increase this year among women aged between 22 and 28.
