October 23rd marked National Croc Day and yep, that's actually a thing.

The practical shoe has gone down in history as one of the most hated pieces of clothing since the peddle pusher – what were we all thinking?!

Well, maybe it's just us (nope, we think the internet agrees too). One of the biggest crimes against fashion has had a revamp and sadly, they're still as ugly as ever. You really can roll a turd in glitter and hope for the best.

To mark the bizarre occasion, we thought we'd take a look at each type of Croc in all its awful glory. Halloween is coming up after all, maybe they can be incorporated into your Halloween costume?

Be warned once you see some of these shoes, there's no going back.

High fashion Crocs

Balenciaga tried their best to turn Crocs high fashion. So what did they do? Whack a wedge, jewels and hefty £645 price tag on them. Yes, they're still Crocs but they're Balenciaga and that's okay, right?

The boujie Spanish designer sent models down the runway in the statement shoes in October 2017 and surprisingly they were a hit. They even ended up selling out before being released. We don't know who exactly was buying them…

High-heel Crocs

Nothing says glamour like a high-heel, but a high-heeled Croc? Now that's just ludicrous. Believe it or not these things exist but they have absolutely no place on a night out. But at least there would be no complaints that your feet hurt at the end of the night.

These little babies are on sale on Amazon for a much more affordable £39.99. But we feel like that's still £39 a little overpriced.

Fur-lined Crocs

As the year winds down we're thinking about all those little winter warmers. Pumpkin-spiced lattes, mulled wine and fur-lined crocs? These snug AF shoes will keep your feet warm and keep you looking like the height of fashion.

Priced at £34.99 the style possibilities are endless. Choose from camouflage, floral or even the chic and timeless black. We feel all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it.

Croc Sandals

Sometimes you want to rock a Croc but it's just too hot, so this one's for you. Croc sandals possess all the ugliness of the traditional design but you can free the toes.

Ranging from £24.99 to £39.99, choose from a variety of styles including the Croc slider. Now all you need is your favourite pair of white socks (preferably with a hole in the toe) and you're ready for the pool, beach or bar.
