It's the end of 2017 and we're still doing this, by the way.

Another day, another MUA doing black face for attention. Russian MUA @notcatart is feeling the internet's anger after a tutorial of him rocking dark makeup has gone viral.

Usually, when makeup artists decide to do this, it is accompanied by an excuse or "viral hashtag". Strangely, @notcatart credits his love of "all colors" as the inspiration for this look.

"WHITE TO DARK 👅 I love skin of all colors and this look is inspired from it.. That we all are beautiful... And I wanna show you how it’s beautiful 😍 love it!" he wrote as the caption to his problematic video.

The video has since been removed from @notcatart's page but another Instagram user reposted it.

In the video @notcatart wears a grill and lip syncs to Yo Gotti's "Rake It Up". No, you don't need an advanced degree in ethnic studies to understand why people are not happy with this IG artist.

People online began calling him out for the super offensive video.

The situation (somehow) became worse when people spotted that he'd liked a comment calling an IG commenter a "burnt n****r tired of picking cotton"

@notcatart has disabled comments under his posts.

The blogger has seemingly responded to the controversy by posting a still from the video with the caption "I will posted [sic] it again and again... love u guys".

We say this so much that we might need to have t-shirts made, but here goes...

Painting your face a different colour isn't appreciating black people or black culture. Putting a grill in your mouth and lip syncing to Yo Gotti isn't "loving all colors". This is a costume and it's 100% wrong.
