Everyone's cool grandads of rock have stepped in to pacify the howling hip-hop hating masses, probably.

If you're boring and violently against the idea of anything other than a rock band playing on a festival stage, you might take some joy in the news of Glastonbury Festival's Sunday headliner.

The Who

Rock legends The Who will be stepping in to fill the final slot of the five-day festival, closing the event on the prestigious Pyramid Stage. Combined with the Foo Fighters playing on Friday night, they form a delicious rock 'n' roll sandwich around the controversial Saturday evening, where Kanye West is still headlining, much to the chagrin of whiney Glastonbury petition-signers everywhere.

"It’s great to be ending this part of a 50 year career at the most prestigious and respected music festival in the world," said frontman Roger Daltrey. "We’ll do our best to close this year’s event with a bang, unless of course the fireworks get wet!"

Surprisingly, even though Glasto have booked one of the rockiest rock bands to ever rock, people still aren't happy.

What's the bet that people are just miserable that they paid up to £225 to spend a weekend doing this?

Glastonbury is a big event, guys. You won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind-bogglingly big it is. Seriously, it's thiiiiiis big:

If you spend that much money, with the organisers' intent that you would get your money's worth by seeking a full experience that suits your tastes, only to spend your weekend in front of one stage, then you have absolutely zero right to complain. Nada. Noooooone.

Meanwhile, here's what you can expect from your Sunday night headliner! LEARN TO LOVE IT.
