Batsh*t Crazy Story Of The Day: This Is The Wildest Thing You've Ever Heard
12 June 2015, 15:12 | Updated: 8 May 2017, 17:09

You won't believe this actually happened.
This is Rachel Dolezal.
She is an African Studies professor at Eastern Washington University, the leader of the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People) Spokane chapter, and (up until yesterday) a black woman.
Rachel Dolezal's parents came forward yesterday and "outed" the outspoken activist as a caucasian woman. Rachel and her parents are estranged and they say they have no idea why she lied about her identity.
Rachel has wanted to be somebody she’s not. She’s chosen not to just be herself but to represent herself as an African American woman or a biracial person. And that’s simply not true

Needless to say, Twitter is having a field day.
I can't even parse this #RachelDolezal situation. Perfect example of how society loves black culture, just not the people who make it.

Some folk are defending #RachelDolezal, a white woman who pretended to be Black, but would never defend Black women. Privilege is real.

Rachel has been posing as an African American woman for years now and has been a very vocal advocate in the African American community. Her NAACP chapter are yet to comment on the scandal but investigators say that some of the crimes she reported as a black woman may have been fabricated.
This #RachelDolezal story is crazy. How did she get away with it for so long? http://t.co/vt7YFahUSs pic.twitter.com/hel9fR7Hvy
