Stay Together For The Kids.

Long gone are the days when the members of Blink 182 could wear khaki shorts, be bad boyfriends, and speak candidly about their grandparents' incontinence. Now they have grown up problems, such as who is going to be in Blink 182 and who isn't (ahem, Tom).

Tom Delonge is, of course, one of the founding members of 90s pop punk outfit, Blink 182. The trio have always had a loyal following, even after a long hiatus, but fans are sure to be reeling from the mixed messages from the group. Yesterday, Blink 182's publicist released a statement regarding the status of Blink 182's lineup and crucial information regarding a potential replacement for a seemingly rogue Delonge.

Matt Skiba of the Alkaline Trio will join Blink-182 in replacement of Tom DeLonge at the 8th annual Musink Music and Tattoo festival. “We were all set to play this festival and record a new album and Tom kept putting it off without reason. A week before we were scheduled to go in to the studio we got an email from his manager explaining that he didn’t want to participate in any Blink-182 projects indefinitely, but would rather work on his other non-musical endeavors.” Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus plan to honor all Blink-182 commitments including the Musink Festival and are excited to have singer/guitarist Matt Skiba join them for this project. “No hard feelings, but the show must go on for our fans.” Additionally, Skiba will continue to make new music and tour with the Alkaline Trio.

Blink 182 Press Statement

Shortly after the press release, which had already been picked up and cited by a number of major news outlets, Tom Delonge took to Instagram with a rather odd message.

This prompted a Rolling Stone interview in which Travis Barker called Delonge "disrespectful and ungrateful". The interview also details interactions Hoppus and Barker had with Tom's manager which they say prove he wasn't committed to remaining in the band. Despite all of this, Delonge is stilll saying that he is currently a member of Blink 182.

Can't we all just getting along?
