Christian Navarro reveals he auditioned for Prince Eric in the Little Mermaid live action remake

13 Reasons Why star Christian Navarro wants to play Prince Eric in the upcoming Little Mermaid live-action remake and he's already auditioned for the role.

13 Reasons Why star Christian Navarro is a fan favourite on the Netflix show. His character, Tony Padilla, has been a voice of reason on the controversial series since its first season. In season 3 of 13 Reasons Why, Christian did an incredible job portraying the heartbroken character whose family is detained by ICE and deported.

Now, the actor has revealed that he recently got the chance audition for the role of Prince Eric in Disney's live action Little Mermaid movie.

Back in August, Christian tweeted about his interest in the role. "So I heard Harry Styles passed on Prince Eric, well...I can sing. Black Ariel/Latino Prince...no ones called but Season 3 drops next week and I think it’s one hell of an audition," he said last month.

Well, you've have to admire his cheekiness.

Honestly, they're both dark-haired and handsome and, if Christian says he can sing, then he could be perfect for it.

Christian updated his followers this week, revealing that Disney actually saw his initial tweet as well as all the fan support. So, naturally, they got in touch and he has now officially sent off an audition tape. Christian also urged fans to let Disney know that they backed the casting.

So far, the film has confirmed Halle Bailey as its lead with Melissa McCarthy as Ursula, and Awkwafina and Jacob Tremblay eyed for roles in the film, as well.

We have no doubt in our minds that Christian Navarro's Little Mermaid tape is a sight to behold. Here's hoping that we get to see it someday.
