Katherine Langford Confirms Exit From "13 Reasons Why" With Emotional Instagram Post

The actress who played Hannah Baker has confirmed that she has officially left the show and won't be back for a third season.
While most of us have already binge-watched 13 Reasons Why season two and have said goodbye to the series for another year, there's one person who has actually said goodbye to the show for good.
If Netflix go ahead with a third season of the show, it's now been revealed that there will be no more Hannah Baker. Yep, Katherine Langford has now confirmed that she's officially let go of Hannah Baker and is moving on from the show - foreverrrrrrr.
In case you didn't know, the role of Hannah Baker was Katherine's very first on screen role. Since dropping on Netflix in March 2017, Katherine's career has rocketed. She has since appeared in 2018's Love, Simon and her performance in the show also earned her various nominations including a Golden Globe nomination and a Satellite award nomination for Best Actress. And she's amassed a whopping 10 million Instagram followers.
Katherine posted a heartwarming and emotional thank you letter to Hannah and the cast and crew of 13 Reasons Why to confirm the news on Instagram.
The caption reads:
"Hannah...I love you...and I let you go" Those are the words I was able to say six months ago, and now can finally share with you... As most of you know @13reasonswhy was my first ever job and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to tell Hannah's story so fully in season 1, and to be asked back for a season 2. Thankyou to @netflix @paramountpics @anoncontent, the incredible producers, creatives, cast and crew for making these last 2 years so special. And to all of you here - Thank you for filling my life with love and light 🙏This show will always be a special part of my life, and regardless of whether Hannah is there or not, I know that I will continue to strive to do work that is meaningful and has a positive impact - whether that be in film, music, or any other form of art. There is a lot coming up this next year, and I can't wait to share it with you 💖

Katherine's next on-screen role will be in the movie Spontaneous, alongside Charlie Plummer and Hayley Law (who plays Valerie on Riverdale) and it's also been rumoured that she is in the running to play Barbara Gordon in the upcoming Batgirl movie.
There's been no confirmation of a third season of 13 Reasons Why just yet, but if it does get renewed, it definitely won't be the same without Hannah Baker.
