Netflix just dragged a homophobic troll who came for Elite's gay storyline

Put some respect on Ander and Omar's names please...
Netflix had time today. It is no secret that the popular streaming service makes no qualms about being an LGBTQIA+ friendly company. Not only do Netflix employ many queer staff but they also make great efforts to create content that is both by and about queer people. From Black Mirror (San Junipero, hello) to 13 Reasons Why (in this house we stan Tony Padillo), many Netflix shows feature an LGBTQIA+ narrative.
Its latest teen drama, Elite, is no different. The brand new Spanish language teen drama is making headlines because of its relatable characters (we ship Nadia and Guzmán), gripping plot (that ending) and incredible cast (legends). It also has a major gay romance: Ander and Omar. The storyline has mainly been met with huge praise but that hasn't stopped homophobic trolls from butting in. Thankfully, Netflix is clapping back.
Over the weekend, Netflix shared a photo of Ander and Omar together in Elite with the cute caption: "The only thing I want is to be with you". The shot itself is an adorable still from the show and most of the comments underneath it are filled with support from fans who love Ander and Omar as much as we do. Nevertheless, bigots like to ruin nice things and one wrote something homophobic underneath it.
A person commented: “Get the fuck off my Instagram. Not ever[y] person on the planet is gay. You are trying way too hard". It should go without saying that this is not cool and Netflix had the best response. Netflix commented back with multiple rainbow emojis and wrote: "Sorry couldn’t read your comment while surrounded by all these beautiful rainbows." Iconic. Check out the post and response below.
The full exchange.
Four for you Netflix. You go Netflix.
