Jane The Virgin season 5 will premiere on the CW on March 27, 2019.

The CW announced its Fall line up and Jane The Virgin was conspicuously absent from the Autumn roster. In November, The CW announced that the show will return on Wednesdays once All American wraps, but gave no official premiere date.

It has now been confirmed that Jane The Virgin will return on March 27.

Is season 5 the last season of Jane The Virgin?

Season 5 will be the last season of Jane The Virgin.

In April 2018, Jane executive producer Brad Silberling addressed the show's close saying, "Yes, we are heading into the final season. It is a wonderful final season of the show…this will only make real sense when you have seen the content of the fifth season of the show. It is exactly as it was laid out."

In the Jane The Virgin season 5 promo, we see the rest of Jane's family getting the news about Michael Cordero. The promo promises answers to all of the fans' burning questions and even hints at Michael having a spot of amnesia.

How many episodes are in Jane The Virgin season 5?

The show will end on its 100th episode, meaning that season 5 will have 19 episodes.

Sophia Bush will appear in Jane The Virgin season 5

Justin Baldoni announced that Sophia Bush had been cast on Jane The Virgin in a role that fans would "not be happy about". Sophia also reacted to Justin's post, sharing the same snap and writing "beyond thrilled to be making some comedy alongside two of my favorite world-changers".

So, who is Sophia Bush playing on Jane The Virgin? Well, Justin hinted that viewers wouldn't be happy about it, so we're guessing her character is about to give fans some major heartburn.

In addition to Sophia Bush on Jane The Virgin, we also know that Tommy Dorfman will appear in the fifth and final season of the show as well.

Tommy Dorfman plays "Bobby", an associate of Sin Rostro. One thing is sure, if Bobby is team Sin Rostro, then he definitely spells trouble.

Gina Rodriguez will likely be directing some episodes in season 5.

Earlier this year, the show's star Gina Rodriguez that she was looking forward to directing again in season 5. In March 2018, Gina described directing as "the most incredible experience" and expressed a desire to do more directing in show's "final season".

Is Michael actually alive on Jane The Virgin? The internet has MANY theories...

Well, folks you saw it will your eyes. Michael Cordero is alive (???) and seemingly well (???) if the end of season 4 is to be believed. So, is it true or is the narrator playing tricks on us once more?

A quick scroll through the r/JaneTheVirginCW subreddit will convince you that anything is possible with Michael's miraculous resurrection. Everything from a twin, to Michael having amnesia, and even a faked death courtesy of Sin Rostro has been theorised. We don't know if Michael is truly alive in Jane The Virgin season 5 and we won't know until Jane The Virgin returns in March.

Will the narrator be revealed in season 5? - Who is the Jane The Virgin narrator?

Anthony Mendez is the voice actor who plays our Latin Lover but who in Jane's life has been telling her story since season 1? Well, the theories on this are never ending.

On the less believable end of the spectrum is the theory that Xo has been narrating. Other suspects include Mateo Sr. (Jane's grandfather) Matteo Jr. (Jane's son), Rogelio, and Jane, herself.

One thing is certain. With Jane The Virgin drawing to a close, the likelihood that fans will meet the narrator is very high. We just might have to rewatch the entire show to pick up on some clues.
