2019 isn't that bleak after all – this is the content we asked for.

If you live for a body-swap comedy then look no further than your new obsession, "Little". A formidable businesswoman gets trapped in a much younger body after being cursed by a child. Think "Freak Friday", "13 Going On 30" and "17 Again" – but featuring women of colour.

Here's everything we know about the movie.

What is Little about?

Jordan Sanders (Regina Hall) is a powerful and mean businesswoman who constantly belittles the people around her, including her undervalued assistant April (Issa Rae). But one day she pushes a young girl too far, so she curses Jordan to become a 13-year-old in hopes to teach her a lesson.

Cue the crazy hijinks as Jordan is forced to adjust to her new body and April has to pretend to be Jordan's guardian, and take a more managerial role in the company.

Young Jordan soon falls for her hunky teacher (Justin Hartley), much to his disgust, and chaos ensues.

Is there a Little trailer?

The official "Little" trailer dropped on January 9 and we can already tell it's going to be a hit. Scroll up to watch!

There's some big names on the "Little" cast. Scary Movie alum Regina Hall takes the lead as Jordan Sanders, while Marsai Martin plays young Jordan. Marsai is best known for her role as Diane Johnson in Black-ish.

Insecure actress and co-creator Issa Rae plays April, Jordan's personal assistant, while Justin Hartley takes on the role of a teacher who Jordan has the hots for.

Who came up with the whole idea for Little?

Marsai pitched the idea for "Little" before she was even a teen. Marsai took inspiration from 1988 classic movie Big, which starred Tom Hanks, where 12-year-old Josh Baskin wishes himself to be "big" and transitions into adulthood overnight. With the help of producer Will Packer, Marsai's vision has come to life and she's starring in the flick too. Our pre-teen theatre productions seem so redundant right now…

When will Little be released?

"Little" hits theatres in the US on April 12, 2019. Sadly, there's no UK release date just yet.
