Kumail credited his body transformation to having "a full year with the best trainers and nutritionists paid for by the biggest studio in the world.". The actor and comedian is set to star in Marvel's Eternals as Kingo.

Kumail Nanjiani got super ripped for his role in the upcoming Eternals movie and the internet is well and truly shook. This week (Dec 16), actor and comedian Kumail Nanjiani posted Instagram photos of his Eternals body transformation along with a refreshingly honest caption about his journey to getting super jacked for the Marvel Phase 4 movie.

Kumail plays Kingo in the upcoming Eternals movie. According to the comics, Kingo is a skilled swordsman. Eternals is due out November 2020 and will also star Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, and Richard Madden.

Before we do a deep dive into Kumail's biceps, let's just acknowledge that Kumail has been objectively great this whole time and having muscles doesn't really add or take away from that.

So, this week Kumail Nanjiani took to Instagram to post a "thirsty" (his words, not mine) set of pics.

In his caption, Kumail says that when he found out he'd landed his iconic Eternals role, he decided that he wanted to transform his body.

However, the actor and comedian acknowledged that he was only able to do so because of the resources paid for by Disney/Marvel.

"I never thought I’d be one of those people who would post a thirsty shirtless, but I’ve worked way too hard for way too long so here we are. You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain."

"I found out a year ago I was going to be in Marvel’s Eternals and decided I wanted to transform how I looked. I would not have been able to do this if I didn’t have a full year with the best trainers and nutritionists paid for by the biggest studio in the world. I’m glad I look like this, but I also understand why I never did before. It would have been impossible without these resources and time."

Emily V Gordon, Kumail's wife and creative collaborator (The Big Sick), tweeted that she was "so proud" of him.

"My husband works hard for every role he takes, but he's worked hard in many new ways for this one. I'm so proud of him. I always have been," she said. "Also, we spent the majority of this past weekend playing Borderlands 3 so don't think he's changed too much."

But listen. Elsewhere on the internet, the thirst was real.

Much to think about here, actually.

Same, dude. Same.

But THIS. This right HERE is the mf'n tea.

Anyway ya'll. Unrelated question but does anyone know how to pre-order movie tickets 11 months in advance? I'm asking for...me. I'm asking for myself.
