What is Russian Doll on Netflix about?

Russian Doll is about Nadia, a woman who is experiencing the night she dies over and over again. Sometimes she dies falling down the stairs, other times she falls into a street cellar door. Occasionally, she makes it to the next morning, but one thing remains. She always dies.

Nadia is always attending the same party on the night of her death and things begin to go a little haywire once she realises what is transpiring. Though the people around her are skeptical of her story about repeatedly dying, two things remain true. Nadia must figure out a way to stop dying and, well, Nadia must die.

Amy Poehler and Natasha Lyonne are both co-creators and Executive Producers on the project, so it's a given that Russian Doll will deliver the laughs.

The highly appropriate "Crimson and Clover" by Tommy James and The Shondells is the first song you hear in the trailer. In the trailer we see Nadia attending her birthday party, smoking a joint, and dying a bunch of times.

It looks painful. It looks irritating. And Nadia looks like she'll do anything to stop dying.
