Former “Glee” Actor Mark Salling Has Been Found Dead Of Apparent Suicide

It has been reported that actor Mark Salling, has been found dead after an apparent suicide near his home in California. He was 35 years old.

TMZ reports that Salling, who most-notably played Noah "Puck" Puckerman on Glee, took his own life. According to the report, Salling was found near a riverbed close to his home in California. The cause of death is believed to be suicide by hanging but is still unconfirmed.

Salling's lawyer spoke to TVLine to confirm his passing: “I can confirm that Mark Salling passed away early this morning,” Salling’s lawyer tells TVLine. “Mark was a gentle and loving person, a person of great creativity, who was doing his best to atone for some serious mistakes and errors of judgment. He is survived by his mother and father, and his brother. The Salling family appreciates the support they have been receiving and asks for their privacy to be respected.”

Salling was due to be sentenced on March 7 after pleading guilty to the possession of child pornography. He was due to serve between four and seven years in jail as part of his guilty plea bargain.
