The first look at Disney's live-action Aladdin is here and the memes are savage

From Genie (Will Smith) and Aladdin's (Mena Massoud) costumes to hot Jafar (Marwan Kenzari), the internet has thoughts...
Disney is really coming through with their live-action remakes right now. Over the past few years alone, the popular company has blessed us with new adaptations of animated classics including the likes of The Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast and Sleeping Beauty. Not to mention, we've also got a new version of The Lion King incoming with performances by megastars including the likes of Beyoncé and Donald Glover.
It's Aladdin that is on everyone's lips right now though. The film is set to come out in cinemas on May 24th 2019 and Disney has finally given us a first look at the movie. Will Smith debuted a poster for the film on October 10th and a teaser came out just hours later but now Entertainment Weekly has published a first look at the characters in the film and, to put it bluntly, it looks like the internet hates what it's seen so far.
Check out the hilarious Aladdin memes and reactions below.
The film has already received criticism for its casting (half-British, half-Gurjarati Indian actress Naomi Scott is acting the role of Jasmine instead of an actual Middle Eastern actress) and browning-up actors (for real). However, now that we have been given a first look at the movie, people are dragging the look and vibe of the film in general and other specifics.
With that in mind, here are just a few of the funniest Aladdin memes and reactions.
Here is the first look.
Okay.
The poster gives off a certain vibe.

Way harsh, Tai.
The hairstyle is giving people anxiety.
Will Smith’s genie hair in the live-action #Aladdin is going to be a major source of anxiety for me in 2019. pic.twitter.com/FwG44LHiUj

Lots of people actually.

Ffsssss.
Then there are those who are confused as to why Genie's not blue.

This makes no sense.
Dreams have been killed.

The internet never sleeps.
Will has since explained that Genie will be blue in most of the film though.
Okay, everyone can shut up now #Aladdin pic.twitter.com/Rxep7l5RLV

That's better.
Still this doesn't take away from the fact that Aladdin is not shirtless.
Sorry but why is Aladdin wearing a shirt under his vest?!? pic.twitter.com/OjJ57Ozfu6
— Jarett Wieselman (@JarettSays) December 19, 2018
IT'S CANON.
Layers? In this economy?
I still can't believe Disney made the actor playing Aladdin wear a shirt under his vest in a movie set in the middle of the fucking desert pic.twitter.com/AFdfhzp2cS

Our poor sweet hero.
It's just disrespectful to be honest.
The costume department behind this film really hates every gay millennial who found their awakening through Aladdin’s barechested vest aesthetic huh? pic.twitter.com/zDrw9q7qMq

THINK OF THE CHILDREN.
In fact, live-action Jafar (Marwan Kenzari) is more popular than Aladdin.
i hope jafar wins pic.twitter.com/jOLv7s3exU

Mena is a snacc too so we blame wardrobe.
The thirst is real.
I don’t care about them show me more of daddy Jafar! #Aladdin pic.twitter.com/cnRcUIcons
— Reithna chhoeum (@chhewie) December 19, 2018
Oh my.
Jafarizers can I get an amen?
Hot Jafar could show me a quarter of a nipple and I'd kick Aladdin off that magic carpet so hard by the time he hit the ground I'd be in another time zone.

We're crying.
In other news, this photo is ripe for Fresh Prince memes.
Now this is a story all about how my lamp got stuck in a cave underground, and I'd like to take a minute, just listen to me, I’ll tell you how I can turn you into a prince named Ali. #Aladdin pic.twitter.com/e7dTMHvDvb

Amazing.
However, hype for the film has died down.
Aladdin looks... like it’s a movie that will be coming out, I’ll say that! pic.twitter.com/HJ8eSM3DXF
