Cameron Boyce's mother Libby Boyce called Cameron her "compass" in her first Instagram post since he passed away in early July.
Cameron Boyce passed away unexpectedly in early July and since then friends, fans, and family members of the star have paid tribute to the talented and "one of a kind" actor. Now, Cameron's mother, Libby Boyce, has spoken out for the first time since Cameron's death.
Over the weekend, Libby Boyce shared a black and white photo of herself and Cameron with the caption: "He is my compass." In the photo, Cameron's eyes are closed while his arm is thrown around his mother's shoulders.
In the past, Cameron shared many Instagram photos and videos about both his parents, including a heartwarming one of him surprising his mum on Mother's day.
His mother's emotional Instagram photo comes after Cameron's father, Victor Boyce, thanked fans for the "love and support" the family has received following Cameron's tragic death.
I’m overwhelmed with the love and support our family has received. It really does help to ease the pain of this nightmare I can’t wake up from. I can’t thank you guys enough.— Victor Boyce (@TheVictorBoyce) July 7, 2019
Cameron's sister Maya also posted a tribute to her older brother, calling him "perfect", "charitable" and "kind".
Cameron was involved in charity and publicly supported the thirst project over the years.
Cameron Boyce's family have since launched The Cameron Boyce Foundation which "provides young people artistic and creative outlets as alternatives to violence and negativity," according to the official website.
