Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr. and Zoe Saldana all defended Chris Pratt after he was dubbed The Worst Hollywood Chris.

Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr. and Zoe Saldana are all coming under fire for defending Chris Pratt over a viral Twitter poll.

Earlier this week, someone tweeted "one gotta go" alongside photos of Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Chris Pine and Chris Pratt. The tweet quickly went viral with people overwhelmingly voting for Chris Pratt to go. Many of the response were light-hearted but some people called into question Pratt's politics and his association with a reportedly anti-LGBTQ+ church.

Now, Chris' Marvel co-stars are defending him. However, they're being called out for their posts, with fans pointing that some of them failed to speak out against the racist and sexist backlash that co-stars like Zendaya and Brie Larson faced when joining the MCU.

Yesterday (Oct 20), Robert Downey Jr. took to his Instagram to write: "The “sinless” are casting stones at my #brother, Chris Pratt... A real #Christian who lives by #principle, has never demonstrated anything but #positivity and #gratitude... AND he just married into a family that makes space for civil discourse and (just plain fact) INSISTS on service as the highest value."

He added: "If you take issue with Chris,,, I’ve got a novel idea. Delete your social media accounts, sit with your OWN defects of #character, work on THEM, then celebrate your humanness... @prattprattpratt I #gotyerbackbackback".

Mark Ruffalo then tweeted: "You all, @prattprattpratt is as solid a man there is. I know him personally, and instead of casting aspersions, look at how he lives his life. He is just not overtly political as a rule. This is a distraction. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize, friends. We are so close now."

And Zoe Saldana followed-up by adding: "No matter how hard it gets, stick your chest out, keep your head up and handle it.
-Tupac. You got this @prattprattpratt . Your family, friends, colleagues & everyone who’s ever crossed paths with you knows your heart and your worth!"

Soon afterwards people began questioning why Robert, Mark and Zoe defended Chris over a viral poll. One person tweeted: "chris pratt lost a “who is the best chris” poll and got called a homophobic trump supporter and rdj, mark, zoe supported him like he got shot or sumn while brie larson got actual death threats and they didn’t say shit, make it make sense".

Another added: "Sorry RDJ, you don’t get to “demonstrate positivity” while also defending acts of homophobia. Chris Pratt using his platform to advocate for his homophobic church is a HUGE problem, and defending that makes you part of the problem."

As it stands, neither Robert, Mark nor Zoe have responded to the backlash and Chris hasn't made any comments of his own. We shall update you if/when they do.
