'Five Feet Apart' is the emotional teen drama you'll be obsessed with next year.
You probably know Cole Sprouse best for his television roles. Whether we're talking Cody on Suite Life of Zack & Cody or, more recently, Jughead Jones on The CW's Riverdale. Fans of the actor will be pleased to know that his latest project will see him return to film in an upcoming movie called Five Feet Apart.
Cole teased the film and its trailer, due out this Friday. The star also noted that it was his first film since Big Daddy in 1999.
"First movie since big daddy, very exciting. Got to work with some Insanely talented people," Cole wrote on Instagram.
Five Feet Apart is about two teenagers, Will and Stella, who have Cystic Fibrosis. The pair meet and fall in love while in the hospital undergoing treatment. Unfortunately, because of their conditions, Will and Stella must remain five feet apart from one another, per hospital rules.
As their connection grows, however, the pair realise that "the possibilities are endless, even if it means staying out of reach." Ready those tissues, guys, because it sounds like there will be tears.
Five Feet Apart stars Cole Sprouse and Haley Lu Richardson (Split, Edge of Seventeen) and was directed by Jane The Virgin's Justin Baldoni. Moises Arias, who starred in Disney Channel's Hannah Montana, also appears in the film as Poe.
Tobias Iaconis and Mikki Daughtry wrote the screenplay.
Five Feet Apart wrapped filming all the way back in June and Haley Lu RIchardson's behind the scene glimpse at the movie already has us hype to see it next year.
Five Feet Apart is out March 22, 2019. The trailer hits the internet Nov. 2.
