The 'Alex Strangelove' star's new Netflix drama looks wild...

It's no secret that we love Daniel Doheny. Alex Strangelove is one of the standout films of the year and Daniel's performance as Alex is remarkable. Not only did he capture the nuances of coming to terms with being gay and coming out perfectly but he also proved that he has got the presence and comic timing of a star in the making. We cannot wait to see what he does next.

Thankfully we don't have to wait long. The 20-year-old actor is about to play one of the lead roles in another Netflix teen comedy and it looks like it could be just as amazing as Alex Strangelove. The Package is coming to Netflix next month and it follows a group of teenage friends who go camping during Spring Break. So far so normal but after a lot of underage drinking something terrible happens...

...one of the boys cuts his penis off. The film then follows its five protagonists as they attempt to save the 'package'. This is a lot to process but we are lowkey into it. Daniel thankfully does not suffer any genital related injuries in the movie. He plays Sean and his penis is fine as far as we are aware but he is there to support his good pal Jeremy (Eduardo Franco) when the incident takes place.

The Package also stars film icons in the making Geraldine Viswanathan (Blockers), Sadie Calvano (Mom) and Luke Spencer Roberts (Hail, Caesar!) as the other friends: Sean, Sarah and Becky. Judging by their on screen chemistry in the trailer, we reckon that the five of them could be the next great teen ensemble cast.

Plus considering how bonkers the plot is and the fact that Daniel Doheny is in it, we are completely on board. The Package comes out on Netflix worldwide August 10th. We will update you with any severed penis news of note in the interim.
