Taking on streaming service giant Netflix, Disney+ is a new service that enables viewers to watch their favourite movies and TV shows.

Disney is launching its very own streaming service, to contend with the likes of Netflix and Amazon Prime. Among the extensive list of titles in its library are Marvel superhero movies and animated classics created by Pixar. US viewers will even be able to watch The Simpsons on the new site.

The new streaming service is also set to create tons of new TV series, including several MCU spin-off series' and a show based on the 2018 film Love, Simon that will sit exclusively on their platform.

Disney are removing all their movies from Netflix for this one annoying AF reason

The company already owned Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm, but as of March 2019, Disney also acquired 20th Century Fox.

Over the past few months, Disney have been removing their content from other streaming services like Netflix - including the entire Marvel division which has now been shut down. Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, The Punisher and Jessica Jones were all cancelled. (The Punisher season 2 and Jessica Jones season 3 will air as planned on Netflix.)

Here's what we know so far about all the new shows, movies and series that will be available on Disney+.

How much is a Disney+ subscription and when will it be launched?

For a monthly fee of $6.99 (it's yet to be announced if the service will be available in the UK), you can access your favourite superhero movies, animated films and TV shows.

Or, if you'd rather, you can simply pay an annual fee of $70.

Disney+ will be available in the US from November 12, 2019.

What films and TV shows are on Disney+?

Disney+ will house all your favourite Disney animated classics, Pixar films, Disney Channel TV shows, Disney Channel original movies... All of that will be in one place.

The streaming service will also be creating brand new content, including several shows featuring characters from the MCU. Loki, Wanda and Vision and Hawkeye will all be getting their own TV shows.
