The cast of Disney's High School Musical reunited at ABC's Disney Family Singalong for a performance of 'We're All In This Together' - but fans were left less than impressed by Zac Efron's contribution, which involved a video message.

It's safe to say, ABC's Disney Family Singalong brought some much-needed downtime for families across the globe, witnessing our favourite artists, including Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato, belt out some of the best Disney classics from their homes in a one-off concert.

We also got to bear witness to a special High School Musical reunion (took long enough, didn't it?), with the whole cast joining for a performance of 'We're All in this Together'. Well, almost all of them.

Because while there were special guests to the performance including TikTok dancer Charli D'Amelio as well as Raven-Symoné, fans were left less-than-impressed by leading legend Zac Efron's contribution.

Before the show, it was announced that Zac had joined the cast as a last minute edition to the reunion, and lets just say, we were ready to don our Wildcat jerseys for Troy Bolton all over again - however, when the performance started, the 32-year-old actually just gave a short 15-second video message before ducking out and leaving everyone else to do the song.

In fact, Joshua Bassett, who plays Ricky in High School Musical: The Series, stepped in to be our token Troy Bolton. We have to stan.

Now-too-cool-for-school Zac is known for being a bit of a flake when it comes to High School Musical, and pre-teen fans who have been eagerly awaiting this moment since 2006 were quick to call out his efforts (or lack-of), when the other five leads, including Vanessa Hudgens, Corbin Bleu, Ashley Tisdale, Monique Coleman and Lucas Grabeel all went to town with getting back into character....

Yeah, I'm afraid we're going to need commitment to a fourth, fifth and sixth movie to make up for this one, Zac.
