Beatrix may die in Fate: The Winx Saga season 2 but fans think that she will return in season 3 as part of the iconic Trix trio.
Fate: The Winx Saga season 2 sees Beatrix team up with the series' antagonist Sebastian. However, she also grows close to Stella and, when Sebastian makes plans to summon The Shadow and resurrect an entire dead Blood Witch village, Beatrix informs Stella of his plans. She then stops Sebastian from opening the portal to the Realm of Darkness but he kills her.
Is Beatrix really dead though and why are fans certain that the Trix from the original Winx animation will be in season 3?
Will the Trix be in Fate: The Winx Saga season 3?
Even though Beatrix prevents Sebastian from opening the Realm of Darkness in season 2, Bloom opens it shortly afterwards to find her mother. Then, at the end of the season, we see Stella visit Beatrix's grave and a shadow creature appears. It isn't confirmed but it looks like The Shadow has come through the portal and could resurrect Beatrix as a villain in season 3.
Elsewhere, we learn in season 2 that Beatrix's adopted dad called her Little Storm and she has two estranged sisters: Isobel and D'Arcy. This has led fans to believe that Beatrix is one of the Trix from the original Winx animation. The Trix are a trio of iconic witches in the cartoon who are enemies of The Winx and they're called: Icy, Darcy and Stormy.
Fans think that Isobel is Icy, D'Arcy is Darcy and Beatrix aka Little Storm is Stormy. There's also the fact that Beatrix's name literally has Trix in it! Coincidence? I think not.
Following the release of season 2, one fan tweeted: "I HAVE A THEORY. I think that the shadow creature standing in front of the grave of Beatrix is going to bring her back from the dead and Beatrix will be reunited with her sisters in season 3 and together they will form the Trix!"
Another wrote: "The Shadow looming over Beatrix's grave, as well as her having two sisters by the name of Isobel and Darcy. If you know, you know".

when this is darkar from the cartoon and he brings beatrix back to life and leaves her under his influence like he did with bloom in the cartoon, but instead of dark bloom we get dark beatrix and just like how sky brought bloom back, stella brings beatrix LISTEN #fatethewinxsaga pic.twitter.com/ioRK5qoIb1— diana (@steIIatrixs) September 17, 2022
when beatrix comes back bc of the shadow creature from the realm of darkness on her grave, it will probably “corrupt” her a bit and make her darker, there’s no way it’s going to have no consequences IMAGINE STELLA TRYING TO REASON WITH BEA THE STELLATRIX ANGST #FateTheWinxSaga pic.twitter.com/UtBWsW9b40— diana (@steIIatrixs) September 17, 2022

On top of the season 2 hints, Fate: The Winx Saga showrunner Brian Young recently told Entertainment Weekly: "We haven't started talking about season 3 yet, but it is very much my intention that we will see the Trix. That's a core part of the cartoon that we always knew we'd see at some point in the show. I would say if we get a season 3, expect Icy and Darcy."
In other words, it's almost a given that Beatrix will return in season 3 and her Trix sisters will join her.
