Is Friends leaving Netflix in 2019? It appears that Friends may not have much longer on the streaming platform and fans are reacting to the revelation with a mix of devastation and despair.

Fans believe the show will be removed from the streaming platform because of a note on the show's Netflix landing page which reads "available until 01/01/2019". This leaves just under a month for fans to race through the series if they have not seen all 10 seasons in their entirety.

Friends is, of course, not a Netflix original and WarnerMedia's planned foray into streaming likely means more favourites could exit stage left from the platform.

Fans were unimpressed by the planned removal of Friends, already hailing it as a bad start to 2019.

Friends is one of the most expensive shows the platform currently licenses. At $118 million for 10 seasons, keeping Friends on the platform is quite a financial undertaking.

Despair not Friends fans. It does not appear the show is going anywhere before the new year, so fans will still get to spend the holidays with their favourite New Yorkers.

Meanwhile, Netflix cancelled Marvel's Daredevil last week after just three seasons, telling Deadline that they were "tremendously proud of the show’s last and final season".

Here's to Netflix keeping viewers on their toes.

What do you guys think? Are you emotionally prepared to say goodbye to Friends on Netflix?
