'Good Trouble' premiered on Freeform and fans are already loving Callie's new love interest.

The Adams Fosters sisters returned to Freeform this week as Mariana and Callie got a start on their new lives in Los Angeles. Mariana begins her new engineering job, pleased that her crush Gael isn't far off. It's the chemistry between Callie and Gael, however, that made the episode especially steamy. Gael is played by Tommy Martinez, who Riverdale fans will recognise as Malachai, the Ghoulie leader with a wardrobe to die for.

Tommy has appeared in four episodes of Riverdale and you definitely recognise those iconic curls.

In Good Trouble, Gael is confident, attractive, and lives near the girls in an artists loft. He and Callie have a connection right away and they sleep together on their first night. At the end of the episode, the girls discover that Gael is bisexual after accidentally spotting him mid-hookup through his bedroom window.

There was plenty of intrigue in the first episode of Good Trouble but fans are already loving that the show is depicting a bisexual man in one of the year's most anticipated dramas.

And, of course, Tommy Martinez's good looks did not escape the attention of fans.

People were also pleased with the other LGBTQ+ representation on the show, so far.

Sherry Cola plays Alice Kwan, the manager of Mariana and Callie's new apartment. Alice hasn't come out to her family yet and brings up her mother's penchant for trying to set her up with various men.

Based on the fact that two reoccurring characters are members of the LGBTQ community, we're hoping that there will be some well-written and smart storylines involving Gael and Alice.
