I Am Not Okay with This may have only just come out on Netflix but it's safe to say that viewers already love the teen drama.
Created by the people behind Stranger Things and The End of the F***ing World, I Am Not Okay with This tells the story of 17-year-old girl Sydney (Sophia Lillis), as she deals with the death of her father and the trials and tribulations of being a teenager. Oh, and Syd has superpowers. The show also stars Sophia's IT co-star, Wyatt Oleff, as fan-fave Stanley.

I Am Not Okay with This has a timeless and mysterious quality though leaving fans wondering where it's filmed and set.
Where is I Am Not Okay with This set?
I Am Not Okay with This was filmed in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, which is a city just outside of Pittsburgh in the US. However, all of the external shots of the high school were filmed using the Westinghouse Arts Academy Charter School in Wilmerding, which is a town not far from Brownsville.
The whole series is also set in Brownsville. Sydney and Stanley actually sit in front of a Brownsville town sign during the show. I Am Not Okay with This co-creator, Jonathan Entwistle and producer Shawn Levy, explained why they chose Brownsville as their filming location in the show's production notes and it turns out that it's all thanks to the writer of the comics the show is based on.
Entwistle said: "Charles Forsman is from Pittsburgh, and he'd written the comics with his hometown in mind. We’re used to seeing superheroes in a California suburb or in the middle of New York City. We wanted to find a setting that wasn’t too suburban or urban, didn’t feel too industrial, and felt like a new backdrop for a story about a superhero."
He then added: "I wanted people to be proud that we shot in the Pittsburgh area. Levy also said: "Coming-of-age stories are a trope in and of themselves. So we wanted all of the decisions we made on top of that premise to feel less generic. We didn’t want a world we felt we had seen before."
