Every single one of those "Avengers: Infinity War" trailers have been lying to you.

The job of a movie trailer is to hype the audience with some of the juiciest, most eye catching and mind-blowing visuals. Sometimes, those scenes don't end up in the final cut - and that's what fans are currently realising with Avengers: Infinity War.

Turns out, there's quite a few moments/variations of scenes that we didn't get to see in the final version of Infinity War. Some were shot specifically for the trailer, some probably just didn't fit in with the pace of the movie, and some were even thrown in or edited as red herrings to keep the fans on their toes when it came to spoilers (that's since been confirmed by the Russo brothers, that this was the case.)

Obviously, this post will contain actual spoilers so... you better close this tab if you don't want your life ruined. Do it, now. Bookmark it. Close it. Reopen it once you've seen the film.

Great! If you've made it this far, congratulations, you've seen the movie. You're still alive but you're barely breathing and now, here's all the scenes from every trailer that didn't make it into the final cut of the film.

The Big Wakandan Battle Scene.

The scene where we see Cap leading the charge into battle with Natasha, Bucky, Okoye, the Black Panther, the Hulk, War Machine and the Wakandan army following behind was one of the most anticipated scenes from the trailer. But in the final cut of the movie, this literally doesn't happen. The charge happens in an open field, not in a forest. M'Baku is also there and as we all know, the Hulk doesn't wanna cooperate and ya green boi doesn't even show up to the fight anyway - it's Bruce in the Hulkbuster armour. Fans are speculating that it's actually a scene from Part 2 (Avengers 4) but this one is most likely down to the fact that it was added to the trailer to spice things up visually.

When Thor met the Guardians for the first time.

One of the best scenes in Infinity War is when Mantis wakes up Thor and he meets the Guardians on board the ship. The back and forth between Star-Lord and Thor is iconic but the scene that was shown in the trailer took on a more comedic tone than the one that made it into the final cut. As Thor wakes up, he turns round to see the Guardians all pointing their guns at him. That cute little wave from Mantis is nowhere to be seen.

When Thanos arrives on Titan.

If you've watched the film, you'll know that when Thanos reaches Titan, he has four Infinity stones. He arrives on the planet in search of the Time Stone after already obtaining the Space Stone, Power Stone, Reality Stone and the Soul Stone but in the trailer, he's seen arriving on the planet with only two stones on the gauntlet. Two of those stones were probably edited out to prevent any spoilers leaking in the trailer. (The same thing happens with the trailer scene of Cap fighting Thanos. When he arrives in Wakanda, he's got 5 stones...)

Shuri and her Infinity Stone projection.

There's a tiny scene with Shuri in the trailer that shows her bringing up a hologram projection of the Space Stone. The exact scene still remains in the film but As we now know, she's actually studying the Mind Stone which is embedded in Vision's head. Another sneaky edit to prevent anyone sleuthing on the timeline of the movie.

Thor and Stormbreaker.

After having his hammer destroyed by Hela, Thor goes in search of a new weapon, one that has the ability to kill Thanos. In order to forge the metal, he has to "sacrifice" him and ends up getting burnt by the power of a dying star. The metal smelts and the weapon in formed but instead of giving it a flashy little welcome, like in the trailer, he just turns in up in Wakanda ready to end Thanos once and for all.

Banner and Natasha’s 'lil reunion.

Lol, we almost forgot that The Hulk and Black Widow were a thing. Despite not really having much interaction in the film, there was a scene that's shown in the trailer, where Banner and Natasha are chatting about their relationship while he's adjusting the Hulkbuster armour, but it never actually made it into the final cut. The two do have a little chat but they're surrounded by everyone else and it's totes awkward.

Cap and Black Panther's iconic hoverboard moment.

To be fair, this scene does happen in the film, but that exact shot of Steve and T'Challa riding shotgun alongside a handful of Wakandan army members is not. Not that it matters, at all... and to be fair, with the urgency of that battle scene, it does look like they're just going for a nice cruise around the plains of Wakanda, doesn't it?

Cap's fancy new shield.

One of the coolest moments in all of the trailers is when Steve gets his Vibranium shield, right? In the film, T'Challa does deliver the iconic line “get that man a shield,” but that was it. We didn't see it. We didn't get that cheeky demo from Cap... it was cut! And no one knows why... 👀

And there you have it - the magic of the movies, eh? Did you spot any more scenes from the trailer that didn't make the cut in the final film?
