The news came after Milano, who plays Coralee Armstrong in the series, revealed that the show will not be returning for a third season.

Replying to a fan on Twitter (Feb 4) who asked whether or not the satire comedy would be bringing Miss Coralee back to our screens, Alyssa wrote, "We will not be coming back, sadly." Today (Feb 14), Milano further confirmed the news following Deadline's report.

Netflix have yet to release an official statement confirming the news.

Despite being a hit with fans, the first season of the show received largely negative reviews and caught some backlash on social media. Shortly after season 1 was released on Netflix, a petition calling for the cancellation of the show due to body shaming narratives and toxic body image messaging was signed by almost 100,000 people.

In response to the backlash, creator Lauren Gussis and Netflix VP of Original Series Cindy Holland defended the show with separate statements.

Fans are pretty upset about the way the show has been cancelled.

Insatiable will now join the ranks of several other shows that Netflix have been recently cancelled after two seasons.
