We need this in our lives now...

If you're anything like us, you'll have watched The Kissing Booth multiple times, memorised it inside and out and been patiently waiting for Netflix to announce a sequel or a series or just something to answer our hopes and prayers that we can see Elle and Noah on screen together again. Look it's a cinematic masterpiece and we want to see more. We're only human.

Thankfully, even though these wishes are STILL yet to come true, the stars who play Elle (Joey King) and Noah (Jacob Elordi) are a couple irl. The two of them started dating while filming the hit Netflix teen drama and they have both been providing us with many Elle and Noah worthy romantic moments to obsess over ever since.

Not only that but they also have plenty of other projects for us to get excited about this year. Jacob is in Swinging Safari, an Australian comedy, as well as The Mortuary Collection, an upcoming horror film. And Joey is set to act not just in Zeroville, with Megan Fox, but potentially the scariest film of the year: Slender Man.

Slender Man is a supernatural feature based on the famous Eric Knudsen character that surfaced on the internet in 2009. He is an unnaturally tall humanoid with a blank face. The film centres on the tale of a group of teenage girls who attempt to find out more about the Slender Man when they suspect that he's kidnapped their friend Hallie (Julia Goldani Telles). However, the Slender Man then begins to haunt them.

SLENDER MAN - Official Trailer (HD)

Joey King stars as one of the lead teenage girls Wren, alongside Paper Towns star Jaz Sinclair (Chloe), Ouija: Origin of Evil actress Annalise Basso (Piper) and Love, Simon standout Talitha Bateman. Not to mention, horror film king Javier Botet (It) plays the Slender Man himself and it is directed by Sylvain White. From the trailer alone, it looks nothing short of spine-chilling.

Joey is no stranger to scary movies either. Just last year she played the lead in Wish Upon and back in 2013 she acted as Christine, one of the Perron daughters, in The Conjuring. Both performances received critical acclaim and acted as proof that, when it comes to horror, Joey is a natural.

Slender Man comes out August 24th. Considering how talented Joey is, we think that we are in for a treat. She never fails to impress us and we have no doubt that Slender Man will be as good as her previous work.

We cannot wait to see it.
