The trailer for Jordan Peele's upcoming film 'Us' arrived on Christmas and fans are amazed at the usage of the hip hop classic "I Got 5 on It".

The trailer for Jordan Peele's new movie, Us, dropped on Christmas Day and the internet is already terrified and excited about the upcoming film. Us is set against the backdrop of a relaxing family getaway gone horribly wrong and the trailer music only serves to ramp up the intensity of what is sure to be one of 2019's most terrifying films.

Watch the trailer for Us below.

The trailer opens up with our protagonists listening to "I Got 5 on It" by Luniz on the stereo.

The father, played by Winston Duke, remarks that "I Got 5 on It" is a classic and the mother (Lupita Nyong'o) encourages the young boy in the film to "get in rhythm".

Throughout the trailer, the classic Luniz song is reshaped and re-worked into a tune fit for a horror thriller. The "I Got 5 on It" remix is so effective in its use, fans are already creeped out after hearing it in the Us trailer.

Even as a horror remix, the 1995 Luniz classic still goes off.

Some people just wanted to know how Jordan Peele thought to use "I Got 5 on It" in a horror movie this way.

In an interview with EW, Jordan Peele explained his inspiration for adding the hip-hop classic into the film and its trailer.

"I’m making a movie in Northern California, that’s a bay area hip-hop classic and I wanted to explore this very relatable journey of being a parent [and] maybe some of the songs you listened to back in the day aren’t appropriate for your kids," he told EW.

Peele also mentioned the fact that the "song has this inherent cryptic energy, almost reminiscent of the Nightmare on Elm Street soundtrack."

Ugh. His mind.

Us hits theatres March 15, 2019. It stars Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong'o, Shahadi Wright Joseph, Evan Alex, and Elisabeth Moss.

What do you guys think? Did hearing "I Got 5 on It" in a horror movie trailer give you MAJOR chills?
