Katherine Langford returns to Netflix for 'Cursed', a new show coming in 2019.
Fans of Netflix's 13 Reasons Why will know that Hannah Baker will not be back in a big capacity for the show's third season. If you're already missing a bit of Katherine Langford in your life, don't fret. The Aussie actress is headed to another Netflix show and it already sounds like a huge departure from her 13 Reasons Why character.
Katherine will star in the upcoming Arthurian Netflix drama, Cursed, about a "teenage heroine with a mysterious gift who is destined to become the powerful (and tragic) Lady of the Lake." Katherine plays the lead, Nimue on Cursed, which is based on an upcoming YA book of the same name.
Tom Wheeler and Frank Miller are executive producing the series and working on the novel, due out via Simon & Schuster in Fall 2019, according to Netflix.
Katherine's character sounds like she will have a ton in store for her in the series' initial 10 episode run.
Per the streaming platform, "after her mother's death, she finds an unexpected partner in Arthur, a young mercenary, in a quest to find Merlin and deliver an ancient sword. Over the course of her journey, Nimue will become a symbol of courage and rebellion against the terrifying Red Paladins, and their complicit King Uther."
Cursed will premiere on Netflix in 2019 and will see Langford return to the platform that gave the actress her big break with 13 Reasons Why.
As for her 13 Reasons Why character, it's doubtful that Hannah will be back for season 3, however, flashbacks, dreams, and character hallucinations mean that anything is possible.
