'Pimp' is out Nov 9 and the sneak peek looks compelling.
Riverdale actress Vanessa Morgan is best known for her roles on the CW drama, The Shannara Chronicles, and My Babysitter's A Vampire. Now fans can see her in the gritty upcoming film Pimp, starring Keke Palmer.
Pimp finds Vanessa in a more grown up role than fans are used to seeing her in. In the film, Vanessa Morgan plays an exotic dancer named Destiny. A new trailer shows Vanessa's character cosying up to Wednesday The Pimp (played by Palmer).
"I've never danced for anybody who looks at me the way you do," Vanessa's character says in the clip.
The film, which will be available in theatres and on demand from Nov.9, is about Wednesday a struggling pimp whose luck turns around once her girlfriend Nikki (Haley Ramm) takes to the streets.
Things heat up once Wednesday recruits Destiny (Vanessa Morgan), igniting a street rivalry that turns dangerous.
Vanessa shared an Instagram video of her Pimp shoot all the way back in 2016 when it was being filmed.
Meanwhile, Keke's own transformation for the film is pretty remarkable and she's been teasing her character on Instagram for a few weeks now.
It's clear this role is a departure for Keke who grew up on Nickelodeon and starred in family friendly films like Akeelah and the Bee.
Pimp also features Aunjanue Ellis, Edi Gathegi, and DMX. US audiences can see the film from Nov. 9.
