Fans are obsessed with Luke from 'The Haunting of Hill House' and the memes are everything

"I would literally die for Luke from the Haunting of Hill House."

Netflix's latest hit, The Haunting of Hill House, has fans emotional and scared out of their minds. While the tragic story of Nell and The Bent-Neck Lady has viewers pondering the incredible twist, Luke Crain's story is equally moving.

Spoilers ahead, folks

Luke, played by Oliver Jackson-Cohen (adult version) and Julian Hilliard (young version), has a traumatic upbringing followed by a battle with addiction as an adult.

When we meet adult Luke, we learn that he has just earned his 90 days sober chip. As his story unfolds, viewers see that he is selfless, when it comes to Joey and his sister, and very traumatised, like the rest of his siblings.

Of course, audiences were moved by Luke's story in episode 4.

Fans want to protect the character after all that he has been through with his family life and addiction.

People would DIE for Luke and, after watching his episode, I think we ALL would.

Did we sign up to cry while watching The Haunting of Hill House? No. Did we cry anyway? Yes.

Luke's storyline involved him being terrorised by a ghost, losing his mother, becoming a drug addict, falling out with his siblings, and being betrayed by Joey. Luke went through a lot and we're not sure when we'll recover from the grief of it all.

Fans think Luke deserved WAY better.

Luke is certainly one of the most complex characters in the show. When we view him through his siblings' eyes, we get the sense that he irresponsible, untrustworthy, and unreliable. When fans finally see his side of the story, it becomes clear that, despite his faults, Luke really does want to do what is right and make his family proud.
