Noah Centineo Is Also Starring In 'Sierra Burgess Is A Loser' This Summer

The film stars Shannon Purser and Noah Centineo as Sierra and Jamey, a pair of high school students who fall for one another under unusual circumstances.
Netflix audiences are loving Noah Centineo as Peter K in To All The Boys I've Loved Before. No one could have pulled off Lara Jean Covey's fake boyfriend quite as well as Centineo, though rumour has it that he very nearly played boy next door, Josh Sanderson in the film.
Noah is certainly Netflix teen heartthrob material and he's back on our screens in September for Sierra Burgess Is A Loser.
Sierra Burgess Is A Loser, which stars Shannon Purser (Riverdale, Stranger Things) in the title role, is coming to the streaming platform September 7.
Sierra Burgess is A Loser is about an overachieving girl who falls for the popular guy at her school. It's not your typical high school teen drama, though.
Through an absolute twist of fate, Jamey (Noah Centineo) texts Sierra's phone thinking she's someone else and they get to know each other more despite the mistake. Jamey is a popular football player and Sierra plays in the school band but they find that they enjoy speaking to one another over the phone.
Sierra enlists the help of her popular classmate Veronica to help pull off a Cyrano/Catfish situation that sees Jamey fall for Veronica's face but Sierra's words and voice. "It's called Catfishing and I'm pretty sure it's illegal," Sierra's friend Dan warns at one point.
Meanwhile, as Sierra and Veronica team up to pull the wool over his eyes, the two girls (who were never friends before) find that they actually like one another and become close.
To be honest, it looks like a story that is as much about friendship as it is about crushes and overwhelming high school feelings.
It's Noah's second "popular kid with a heart of gold" Netflix movie this summer but we're so excited to see him and Shannon back on screen in this thrilling love story. Plus, Shannon has a song on the soundtrack and we are SO excited to hear it.
